DevOps Engineer/ IT Engineer

Full-time, Dresden

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a committed and well-organized DevOps Engineer / IT Specialist for a full-time position as soon as possible.

In this versatile role, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and developing the company’s entire IT infrastructure. You will support hardware and software development by providing build and deployment infrastructure, and you will have the opportunity to develop related tools independently.

Your Role:

DevOps Engineering

  • Design, setup, and maintenance of automated build and deployment pipelines to optimize development processes
  • Enhancement and optimization of our GitLab-based CI/CD environment
  • Version control and code integration using Git
  • Implementation of automation solutions to support hardware and software development teams

IT Infrastructure & System Administration

  • Independent maintenance, servicing, and continuous development of our IT infrastructure
  • Administration and maintenance of Linux-based server systems
  • Management and securing of networks with special security requirements by BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security) guidelines
  • Ensuring the availability and performance of all IT systems

Support and Documentation

  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for systems and processes
  • Implementation of security requirements for handling classified information
  • Support with security inspections and audits
  • Research and procurement of necessary hardware and software

 

Your Profile:

  • Completed studies in computer science, information technology, or a comparable qualification
  • Solid knowledge of the administration of Linux systems
  • Being familiar with Git and common workflows
  • Experience with IT security concepts and network segmentation
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: Python, Bash, Go, or similar

 Desirable Knowledge

  • Initial experience with CI/CD (ideally GitLab CI)
  • Basic knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework)
  • Knowledge of firewall configuration and VPN technologies
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and security protocols
